Visit of British veterans

In the morning of Friday, June 4^th, the Memorial was pleased to welcome a group of British veterans, for most of them belonging to the 6^th Airborne Division "Pegasus".

After having congratulated Fabienne for her explanation of the battle in front of the bay windows, the veterans signed the guestbook of the Memorial. They were rewarded by poppy candles, the symbol of British veterans.

After the visit, they resumed their journey which will lead them to the war cemeteries of Urville-Langannerie (Polish) and Cintheaux (Canadian). Finally, they will attend the official ceremonies at Pegasus Bridge on June 6^th - during this event, 500 brithsh paratroopers are to be dropped.
